Loretta Dignam is an Irish entrepreneur and women’s health advocate, best known as the founder of The Menopause Hub, Ireland’s first dedicated clinic for meno- pause support and care. With a background in marketing and leadership, Dignam worked for over 25 years with top brands, including Diageo, Kerry Foods and Jacob’s Biscuits, before pivoting her career to focus on an area that had personally affected her and that she saw was deeply underserved in healthcare. Dignam was talking about menopause when no one else was, and founded The Menopause Hub in 2018 to address the lack of accessible, comprehensive care for women experiencing menopause. Her vision was to create a space where wom- en could access expert medical advice, support and treat- ments for the often-overlooked physical and emotional challenges associated with menopause. The clinic offers services from hormone therapy to nutrition and mental health support, helping women manage their symptoms and improve their quality of life. A strong advocate for breaking the stigma surrounding menopause, Dignam has been instrumental in raising awareness and fostering open conversations about women’s health in Ireland. Through her work, she has empowered countless women to seek help and prioritise their well-being, making The Menopause Hub a pioneering force in women’s health- care and menopause awareness nationwide. Just this year, Dignam expanded her business to include a training offshoot to promote best practices in workplaces. In October this year, thanks to her and others’ advocacy, the government announced that hormone replacement therapy (HRT) will be free for all women from January onwards, an extraordinary achievement that will revolu- tionise women’s healthcare.
